The company Boca do Monte Hotel and Tourism Ltd was founded in August 20, 1986, with the name “Hotel Morotin” a direct allusion to the legend of the creation of the city.

Activities operating as Hotel started in September 12, 1988 with 45 apartments and 2 suites.

The market response to the investment, leading to the hotel occupancy rates averaging 90 %, was responsible for its expansion. This, coupled with the high demand for spaces for meetings and seminars for companies and institutions, as well as social gatherings , contributed to a new step in January 1993, the second phase of the project with over 44 rooms and two suites, built over a  area 4749  square meters.

In November 1998, a start was made to another enterprise, Opened another hotel, the Park Hotel Morotin, located in the Camobi with extensive green area and a building area of 6843.81 square meters, with 84 rooms and 6 suites with distinct decor and furnishing.
